The tet on top is the way Arabs say goodbye on the phone. The English on the bottom is the way everybody else says goodbye.

You have to admit though, our way of saying g'bye is soooo much more cooler than saying bye in English, it's more heartfelt :p Nice Arabic handwriting, mine looks like chicken scratch!

is that your handwriting? looks like my dad's :P

i think its so funny how we say goodbye...we say, yallah, ma3asalamah, tayyib, ok, bye....like we cant just say bye once and be done with it...we have to stretch it out for like 5 minutes! :)

lol, that is so funny. That is true, goodbyes are a second conversation. Leave out the goodbyes at doorsteps after a visit. The silent goodbye when you call that special someone and you just don't want to hang up, so you shut up and say nothing, and so forth...

yeah Queenie, we show lots of love in our goodbyes. Yes that's my handwriting, it has seen better days. Other than this, the only arabic I wrote was my name in the past year or so..

Jinan, it's funny cause it's true, I find my self doing that on MSN sometimes as well ;)

Bassam, the one at the door is a whole different post. Usually that takes over 15 minutes :D

    Thanks Yazan ;)

Yabco, nice seeing you around :)

    no kidding..!
I hate it when i visit my village, I have to say hi and have a little conversation with everyone I see on the winding road that goes through the village...
for me, too much community = less privacy.
    cheers Omar.. that was funny.
