Ohhh... you should have said that from the beginning

Ooops! It turns out it was a technical failure... you know the artillery shell that killed 18 sleeping civilians, the majority of which were children and women.. The IDF is so cute sometimes, don't they just kill you

We're so quick to judge sometimes... sometimes your finger slips and you push a button that your not supposed to, can we cut them some slack here?!

I guess these stats were also due to technical failures

Total: 247 fatalities
155 civilian deaths
57 deaths of children
996 wounded, including 337 children (34%)

It's amazing how such an advanced military power could have so many technical failures..

    I mean, HOW can anyone buy this bull???

    I know it's not very appropriate to remember a song, but I couldn't help recall this line:
    "It's sad, so sad, it's a sad sad situation and it's gettin more AND MORE absurd".

    Very befitting.

    mar yoom, I agree with you, they said he apologized, to me that is crap. What till tomorrow he will do it again. Olmert and his cronies never mean a damn thing when the say they are sorry. Excuses,excuses and more excuses that don't even add up. They won't stop committing murder or taking land as long as the world keeps looking the other way.

    mar youm, no one needs to buy that bull. They can do whatever they wish without repercussions. Another recent example is how the IOF continues to intrude into Lebanese airspace after being warned many times by UNIFL not to do that.

    Chet, you're absolutely right. As if apologizing does anything to the 10's of families affected by this particular incident. This incident will happen and happen and happen again in different forms, and under different excuses and different banners. They actually had the guts to blame these deaths on Hamas!

    Queenie, what appalled me the most was the US veto. Perhaps after the election results and Rumsfeld getting fired I got carried away and thought that a UN resolution would actually make it past the ever used, US veto. I guess it was a wakeup call for me..
