Ya 3eeb.. What a shame

This morning while eating breakfast with my dad, watching CNN and talking all at the same time, on TV comes a picture of Hamas militants with their guns in the air, their heads high in pride, and a bunch of half naked men with their arms behind their heads walking through the streets. The conversation abruptly stops, and we hand our heads in shame.

Is there any hope left? We can blame Israel all we want, but when it comes to this we have to sit back and take a look at ourselves. Where is the discipline and self control? Where’s the focus?

On another note, I found it extremely interesting how Abbas went from “heading a terrorist organization”, to literally being called a “US backed Palestinian leader.”

Welcome to the Middle East.

I just find this whole thing to be strange, but I'm not surprised by this.

    Ya wailhom min ghadab Allah.
It's pretty discouraging, I'm just going "wth?!". We always look to them to pave the way for our struggle. Us refugees around the world have always looked up to them as our symbol of strength and persistence...now what?

Rahaf, can you please share what you have learned, I'm honestly curious.

Sam, that seems to be the consensus among everyone that I talk to. It still boggle my mind how they can bring themselves to attack each other like this.

Abufares, we can just hope, wait and see what unfolds next. I think it's for the benefit of all parties to stop the chaos.

queenie, that is aboslutely true. My friend Omar (deconstructedlife.blogspot.com) posted on his blog a conversation between him and a palestinian..
    the Palestinian said to him
    "I don't know who's our enemy anymore"
this a feeling that is resonating among a lot of us. Hopefully this will be the wakeup call
